Incident and spot portable light meters save photographers time when determining exposure and creating lighting ratios. While my camera frequently gives me a good suggestion with its internal meter, I find my light meter gives more accurate readings in my food photography. I frequently rely on my Sekonic meter to reliably get the job done.
If you’re interested in how I put together the soup scene shown, you will want to head over to the Sekonic blogsite for details. I had the pleasure of collaborating with Ron Egatz to tell the behind-the-scenes story. Since I drew on my past marketing communications writing skills, the whole process went by quickly and was a lot of fun. Enjoy!
