This image made the local newspaper yesterday on the social media page. The Daily Herald inquired about running my Instagram post with a photo from La Nay Ferme on page C3 as part of the “Beehive Buzz Online” Sunday edition. Of course, I said yes!
It’s great to promote Provo businesses and get a little more visibility for my work. I post to Instagram under two handles: @AnneShootsFood (food related items here) and @AnneStephensonPhoto (general photography and some personal photos). Since I took this photograph at the farm where there’s food, it went on the food post. I maintain both accounts with different content.
For the most part, I’ve been making it a point to take just a couple of iPhone photos whenever I’m at a shoot. It gives me a chance to experiment and compare the results to my DSLR. I also like to play around with filters to see if I can finesse the image to something more artistic.
By the way, if you’re into free apps, the recent Snapseed update really makes for a great photo editing tool. Be sure to check it out.
If you’re on Instagram, let me know in the comments and share your handle. Let me know what types of posts you make and if your photos have made the news or other online sources.
