Behind the lens
Sometimes life forces you to take a fresh look at things.
When my mom passed, I realized that my marketing communications career no longer filled me up inside. Even more importantly, I saw how few photos I had of her. Other than my wedding photos, there were hardly any. I wanted more. More connection. More memories captured. More moments preserved.
Photography became my creative outlet, fueling both my technical and artistic sides. What started as a way to decompress—macro photography revealing unseen worlds—soon became my passion. With the support of my husband, Scott, I took a leap of faith, left the corporate world, and enrolled in art school.
Now, I get to do something that truly matters—capturing real, meaningful moments for people just like you.
A few fun facts
📽️ I love movies, TV sitcoms, and made-for-TV shows. My husband and I recently binged the Marvel Universe and WKRP in Cincinnati.
📖 I have a double major in chemistry and professional writing, although these days, my chemistry skills are mostly used in baking gooey brownies.
🧬 I’m an avid family researcher and genealogy nerd, fascinated by uncovering family stories and old photographs.
😆 I inherited my Dad’s love of puns. Apparently, it’s a genetic trait and doesn’t skip a generation. Consider yourself warned.
💡 My friends describe me as kind, hard-working, creative, caring, and a little bit of a perfectionist. My sister would add “sarcastic” to the list. Seriously.
At the heart of it all, I believe photography should feel authentic, personal, and true to you. Let’s capture something meaningful together.

Where You’ll Find Me (And my Work)
From eco-conscious practices to being featured in publications that I admire, I’m proud to create meaningful work that travels beyond the camera. Whether I’m photographing an elopement, a downtown mitzvah celebration, or a family session in your backyard, you’ll find me showing up with intention, and hopefully leaving a little light behind.
