It’s almost the end of fall. The autumn leaves have piled up on the ground, leaving the trees bare.

Every night, the kids have practice, a music lesson, or study groups with friends. There’s no family time to share.

And the weather decides to rain or snow every time you’re free.

You missed out on booking a photographer.

And now you’re going through cell phone photos trying to find the one picture with Mom in it, with everyone’s eyes open, and that has no blurring.

01 – Bed

‘Twas the night before your favorite holiday! Wear PJs, long johns, and/or slippers.

Remember your favorite holiday book to read together.

02 – Fireplace

Assemble the entire group in front of the mantle.

Wear Santa hats, scarves, or your favorite (ugly) holiday sweater.

03 – Couch

Holiday-colored attire will stand out on the neutral couch.

Bring a fav blanket or wrap. Coffee mugs or champagne glasses make great props!

Mini-Sessions are for you if:

  • Your family has young kids and/or people with limited attention spans.
  • You have an infant and don’t want to expose them to the chilly outdoors.
  • You’re strapped for time and unable to commit to a long session.
  • You want a holiday theme but don’t want to invest in decor and the time needed to set up and clean your home.
  • You appreciate the convenience and creature comforts of an indoor space, like warm temperatures, no wind, and a bathroom nearby.
  • You spent a lot on holiday gifts and want a more affordable photo session.
  • You’re a little nervous about being in front of the camera as shorter sessions are quick and fun.
  • Your open time is on Saturdays, which time slots often fill up quickly with photographers.
  • You like showing up and being taken care of 🙂

Mini-Sessions are NOT for you if:

  • You want a natural setting outdoors.
  • You tend to run late as that will cut into the time and the outcome of your session.
  • You’re looking for lots of outfit changes.
  • You want lots of poses and a variety of backdrops.
  • Your kids take a long time to warm up to people.
  • You want lots and lots of photos; your session includes up to 20 which is less than a one-hour family session (75-100)

Faqs

You will be amazed at how much I can capture in a short amount of time. You will receive the best photos from your session time in a gallery, generally, about 20 images. If there are more photos, I will include those, too. You can then choose which one to use on your holiday card.

The studio has a sitting area outside the styled sets where you can wait for your session. Try to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled slot.

No! Business owners, singles, couples, and all types are welcome.

The studio will allow small, well-behaved dogs. Please contact me for additional information.

Your photographs are adjusted for color, exposure, contrast, and cropping. Retouching is kept to a minimum. However, you can always add a retouching option to your session. Photos will be professionally retouched and returned in about 3-5 days, depending on my retoucher’s schedule.

The studio space is on the smaller side. Up to 8 in one scene is comfortable. Ten people are definitely the upper limit if you have smaller children, and babies are included in that number.

There are no refunds if you cancel within 72 hours of the scheduled mini-session. However, the fees you paid can be applied to a regularly priced session in the future or photo frames offered on the site.

There are no hidden fees. The $225 covers the photo services, color correction, digital files, and the print release you receive. Depending on where your photos are downloaded, there may be sales tax that I am required to collect for your community on the digital files. Services are non-taxable.

Meet your Photographer and Hostess!

Anne Stephenson photographs couples and families in Colorado at weddings, special events, and photo sessions throughout the year at various outdoor and indoor locations. In her spare time, she loves doing family research and genealogy with her husband Scott.

Carlie Kissler and Anne have been friends for many years back when they both lived in Fort Collins. When she’s not taking care of her husband and son, Carlie provides photo assisting services. She also just recently started her own auto upholstery business.
