If you’re dreaming of a rustic Colorado wedding with breathtaking views and a touch of history, look no further than the Chief Hosa Lodge. Nestled against the hillsides in Golden and designed by the renowned architect Jules Jacques Benois Benedict, this National Historic Site is more than just a venue; it’s a piece of Colorado’s heritage.

A Link to the Past

Constructed of timber and stone from the immediate area, the architect took great care to design the lodge so that it blended beautifully into the hillside and its surroundings. Chief Hosa Lodge first opened its doors in 1918. The lodge was named in honor of a Southern Arapaho tribal leader, bestowed with the honorary title ‘Hosa’ by the Ute tribe, signifying ‘peaceful and beautiful.’

Awe-Inspiring Panoramas

Imagine exchanging vows with the majestic Continental Divide as your backdrop. The Chief Hosa Lodge offers sweeping views that will leave you and your guests awe-inspired. The stone and log construction adds a touch of authenticity, creating an ideal setting for a rustic Colorado wedding. With only one event permitted per day, you’ll have the space to yourselves, making your day truly special.

Venue Facilities

The Chief Hosa Lodge comes equipped with a number of must-have basics to make your day seamless. A large patio, perfect for soaking in the views, sets the stage for a ceremony to remember. The appointed on-site Event Facilitator ensures attention and care to every detail, allowing you to focus on the most important thing – each other.

With a capacity for up to 100 guests, the lodge offers facilities such as staging, a cold prep kitchen, and a changing room. Gas fireplaces add a cozy touch, creating an inviting atmosphere for your celebration.
