A Glimpse into History

It has witnessed generations of wedding ceremonies, vow renewals, elopements, and other celebratory events throughout its history. Booking Details and Costs

To book your special day at the Historic Morrison Church, reach out to Ruth the leading lady at HMC about your event’s details. Afterwards, you will download the contract on the website and complete the necessary information. There is a $100 non-refundable deposit and the balance is due 30 days prior to the scheduled event. Costs vary depending on the day and time of your event, ensuring flexibility to accommodate different budgets.

A three-hour minimum is required for all events. Friday and Saturday events cost $650 per three-hour event. Sunday-Thursday events cost $550 per three-hour event. Additional time can be purchased at $100 per hour.

Scheduling Tips

The church recommends using one of the three hours as a preparation/practice/rehearsal hour. These hours can be broken up within the same week of the event, Monday through Thursday.

If you choose to move one of the hours to earlier in the week, this means you have a two-hour event on the day of the wedding.

From experience, couples will want to reserve enough time for all of their event needs. For example, if the event starts at 2:00 PM and ends at 5:00 PM, you, your wedding party and guests will be expected to arrive at 2:00 PM and depart promptly at 5:00 PM. This time includes set-up, take-down, rehearsing, ceremony, photographs, etc.
